During lockdown we learned how to keep the head down and our eyes downcast. We wore a mask and sometimes gloves in suspicion of everyone who tried to cross our path. Little breaths and short, goal-orientated journeys.

Someone started posting about the welfare of a clutch of newborn ducks in Carysfort Park nearby.

Caring for the ducklings on our local pond has brought cohesion and empathy to our neighborhood, little do the ducklings know how much we need them to survive.
